Patty received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, graduating magma cum laude, from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1998. She later pursued her Law degree, and in 2005 received a Juris Doctorate degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ms. Edwards was part of Minnesota’s inaugural weekend law school program and only the second such program in the U.S.

It was a tremendous opportunity. She had four small children and a household budget that had to be met. Being able to continue working, even part-time, while attending law school on the weekends, was a blessing.

Ms. Edwards is a registered nurse attorney with the ambition to assist the client’s legal, emotional and spiritual needs. She believes that the legal profession should be nurturing and collaborative. An attorney should strive to address the needs of the client through effective, non-judgmental listening and collaboration to achieve the objectives that best serve them. She has developed a law practice born out of her ideals and experiences in caring for people who need help. She is an attorney that will listen and who cares about your situation. She provides responsive, empathetic legal representation to all clients. Ms. Edwards hopes to restore the public’s faith in the legal system, one client at a time, by providing compassionate and fair legal services.
